Dr. Brianne Dávila
Brianne Dávila is an Assistant Professor of Sociology in the Department of Psychology and Sociology at Cal Poly Pomona. Her teaching and research interests are in the areas of sociology of education, Latina/o sociology, and social inequality. Through her teaching, research, and service, Dr. Dávila strives to demonstrate a commitment to issues of educational access and equity, community-based learning, and social justice. Dr. Dávila earned her Ph.D. in sociology with an emphasis in Feminist Studies from the University of California, Santa Barbara. She holds a master’s from the same program and received a bachelor’s in sociology with a Spanish minor from Pitzer College in Claremont, California.
