Getting Involved: A How To For Connecting within The Psy/Soc Department

The Psychology and Sociology Department Peer Mentors are hosting their first Fall Quarter workshop on tips for how to get involved within the department; These tips include information for getting involved with research and department clubs as well as being able to connect with Professors and building a rapport.
This Workshop will take place Thursday, Oct. 19, 2017 from 12-12:50pm in Building 5, Room 103

Research and Conference Tips

Sofia Pedroza is a previous psychology/sociology peer mentor. During her time at Cal Poly Pomona, Sofia presented at multiple conferences both with and without faculty members. Sofia graduated in 2016, and is now enrolled in a dual PhD/JD program at UC Irvine. Here are some tips she would like to share on her experience as an undergraduate researcher, presenting at conferences, and reaching out to faculty in your field.
